The title for the production work is going to be 'City Life', which is the title of the song being used in the music promotion video. This 'city life' will create the theme of the final three media products- the video, the CD cover and the magazine advertisement. The music used for the video is within the genre of indie/acoustic, which would place the magazine advertisement for the CD in a magazine such as NME. My aim is to represent teenagers in a different light, showing the sport parkour is not simply 'trouble-making', but beautiful and something that people will want to stop and watch. This will therefore be influencing the representation of teenagers as it is largely late teens and early twenties when this sport is undertaken. The magazine advertisement will be used to market the new CD as well as the music video itself; this will be making people more aware of the product existing and may cause them to want to purchase it. This will together form the marketing to plan to promote the product further and create awareness among the target audience, late teens and early twenties. This target audience is created largely through the individuals who participate in the sport of free running/parkour. This age bracket will also be promoted through the improved representation of themselves, therefore futher attracting them to the video and promotion package as a whole. It will appeal to both men and women, with women being more attracted to the song, while men may gain more interest from the promotioal video.
The type of institution this promotion package will be coming from will be a small independent one, largely shown through the type of music and the potential busy/industrial location in which the music video is hoping to be filmed.

Introduction To Brief
For the advanced portfolio in media I am going to me producing a music promotion video along with both a CD cover and a magazine advertisement for the artist's CD. My aim is to represent the social group of free runners (parkour artists) through using a slower track in order to show the beauty and spectacular visuals gained from viewing the sport. Before doing any research, my knowledge is that this style of track has not been used in order to represent free runners in a music video; therefore this will fit into my work with postmodernism as it is turning away from the traditional conventions along with changing the opinions of how people view the sport. I will be working with a partner to make the music promotion package which will enable more flexibility when filming as it will give us the ability to note down the time and type of shots as well as taking still images as production evidence while filming the music video.
